Alex Boden was named Moviescope Producer to watch in 2008 and recently worked on films with directors Stephen Daldry and Quentin Tarantino. He enjoys being at the very centre of the film industry in the UK and increasingly internationally, through his two production companies Pistachio Pictures and Red Sun Pictures.

A graduate of University of Exeter, Binger Film Lab and The Atelier Network, Alex launched Pistachio Pictures in 1999. Pistachio has provided a launch-pad for many talented British filmmakers, producing films selected by 100+ festivals from London and Edinburgh to Palm Springs, Vancouver, Manhattan and many more, working with partners including Paramount, Disney, UK Film Council, BBC, ITV, ARTE, Lionsgate, iTunes.

Ed Zwick's DEFIANCE starring Daniel Craig and Jamie Bell and COLLABORATOR starring David Morse and Olivia Williams are among recent productions, with Susan Jacobson's thriller THE HOLDING released through Lionsgate in September 2011.

Projects slated to shoot include a major international co-production as well as the action thriller REPLAY filming in Canada and the psychological thriller DAYDREAM BELIEVER.

Fascinated by human nature and the emotional extremes of the individual, Susan's films reflect her passion. Her work has been described as 'Elegant' (Time Out), and 'Hearteningly diverse in style and subject' (The Independent).

Her short films have won critical acclaim worldwide. Most notably, her short film ONE HUNDREDTH OF A SECOND which was co-produced by the UK Film Council won Best Film at the Manhattan Short Film Festival amongst many other awards, it has been screened in festivals worldwide and is a YouTube sensation. It is a poignant and moving story about a war photographer's ultimate dilemma: take the photo or get involved.

Her other shorts include BUSHIDO: THE WAY OF THE WARRIOR (also co-produced by the UK Film Council) and CRACKS IN THE CEILING.

Susan's first feature film, THE HOLDING is a suspense thriller and premiers at Frightfest followed by a general release.

Susan's films have been selected by Women in Film and Television International for their worldwide showcase. She is a Guiding Lights Alumni and was mentored by Gillies MacKinnon (HIDEOUS KINKEY, REGENERATION).

Susan regularly directs for the BAFTA Rocliffe New Writing Forum at the BAFTA headquarters in London, as well as nationwide and internationally.
