Alex has been producing since 1999 when he launched Pistachio Pictures with director Susan Jacobson. Previously he had produced award-winning big budget commercial films as well as working on a wide range of films and dramas. He has experience in film distribution and sales in the UK & internationally following time spent with Soda Pictures, Pathé International and Columbia Tristar.

Alex has won prizes and nominations for his work and is a frequent guest on panel discussions and at festivals. His latest film ONE HUNDREDTH OF A SECOND was completion funded by the UK Film Council and won Best Film at the Manhattan Short Film Festival after 220 screenings worldwide.

Alex also runs Red Sun Pictures with German star director Rainer Matsutani, managing an exciting slate of genre projects including the psychological thriller DAYDREAM BELIEVER, selected for Film London's Film Passport Programme.

He is a member of the NPA, the Production Guild and the French-German Film Academy and recently worked on Stephen Daldry's THE READER and Quentin Tarantino's INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS.

After living in South Africa and Australia, Susan settled in London where she has spent the last 13 years working in the film industry. She worked in a variety of areas including Production, Cinematography and Sound before moving to Directing.

Susan’s most recent film ONE HUNDREDTH OF A SECOND was Co-produced by the UK Film Council and awarded Completion Funding. It won Best Film at the Manhattan Short Film Festival voted by an audience of 30,000. Since setting up Pistachio Pictures in 1999 with producer Alex Boden, she has directed many award winning short films including BUSHIDO: THE WAY OF THE WARRIOR and CRACKS IN THE CEILING.

Susan has several feature films in development. These include her UNTITLED GOTHIC THRILLER, which is a UK-Australian co-production.

In 2008, Susan was selected by Women in Film and Television International for their worldwide showcase.
